Roma is the new Sensation in Mollywood
Roma's debut film in malayalam was Notebook. it was a hit. Roma became very popular after the success of notebook.after her superb performance in "Notebook" she did not accept many roles.she chose only good roles .for her performance in Notebook, she was awarded best newcomer by film critics,asianet tv, amrita tv & kalakeralam...
She has also acted in the telugu movie "Dr. Erra babu "& tamil movie "kathale en kathale". She has done many Ads in malayalam & tamil. they include kalyan sarees, triveni notebook,sunny jacob jewellers, swadeshi mermer,archana silks etc.She also acted in Vineeth Sreenivasan's malayalam album "Malayalee". the album was a huge hit and roma become more popular.Roma has finished her B.com degree in chennai.
Her second malayalam film was July 4..although July 4 was a flop, her perfomance in the movie was appreciated...her next movie was Chocolate opposite prithviraj.. it was directed by Shafi & produced by muraleedharan(Producer of Classmates).
Chocolate is the biggest hit in her film career. She became very selective after the huge success of Chocolate. Roma dropped superstar films like Flash & Parunthu. after a short break she debuted in Kannada opposite Golden star Ganesh in Aramane. Aramane was one of the biggest hits in kannada in the year 2008. Her next movie was opposite Jayasurya in Shakespeare MA Malayalam.Roma played a solo heroine in that movie. it did well in the box office. Her latest release is Kamal's Minnaminnikootam.Roma was critically acclaimed for her performance in minnaminnikootam.
She has two big projects in her kitty right now. Roma will act opposite Vinu mohan in Kaanakaaychakal directed by Sanal. she has also signed Shafi's new youngster flick Lollypop. Prithviraj will be the pair for Roma in this movie.
